چکیده

Coexistence between species within plant communities is a key issue in the practice of revegetation, forest management, and biodiversity conservation. Vegetation restoration critical to control soil erosion improve ecological environment on Loess Plateau. Here, we investigate interspecific relationships dominant plants during natural vegetation succession The results suggest that, under process environmental filtering, can reduce competition promote coexistence via spatial heterogeneity temporal asynchronous differences. niche overlap index (Oik) significantly positively correlated with strength associations. Most pairs had weak more stable relationships. χ2 test showed that 317 were associated 118 negatively associated. community positive process, interaction relationship tends be neutral. We should enhance protection pay attention management. Results revealed Carex lanceolata Boott Lespedeza bicolor Turcz coexisted easily other for mutual benefit, which could help build artificial forestland native function.

Changes in Species Diversity Patterns and Spatial Heterogeneity during the Secondary Succession of Grassland Vegetation on the Loess Plateau, China

Analyzing the dynamic patterns of species diversity and spatial heterogeneity of vegetation in grasslands during secondary succession could help with the maintenance and management of these ecosystems. Here, we evaluated the influence of secondary succession on grassland plant diversity and spatial heterogeneity of abandoned croplands on the Loess Plateau (China) during four phases of recovery:...

Changes in Species Richness and Community Productivity during Succession on the Loess Plateau (china)

We investigated changes in species richness, community biomass, and productivity during secondary forest succession in Ziwuling area of the Loess Plateau of China. Species richness(number of taxa) increased as the succession proceeds, and peaked at the climax forest community, but the richness growth gradually slowed down as the succession advanced. Community biomass rapidly increased from the ...

Simulating the Effect of Climate Change on Vegetation Zone Distribution on the Loess Plateau, Northwest China

A risk assessment of vegetation zone responses to climate change was conducted using the classical Holdridge life zone model on the Loess Plateau of Northwest China. The results show that there are currently ten vegetation zones occurring on the Loess Plateau (1950–2000), including alvar desert, alpine wet tundra, alpine rain tundra, boreal moist forest, boreal wet forest, cool temperate desert...

Bacterial Community Responses to Soils along a Latitudinal and Vegetation Gradient on the Loess Plateau, China

Soil bacterial communities play an important role in nutrient recycling and storage in terrestrial ecosystems. Loess soils are one of the most important soil resources for maintaining the stability of vegetation ecosystems and are mainly distributed in northwest China. Estimating the distributions and affecting factors of soil bacterial communities associated with various types of vegetation wi...
